Terms
Product use, permissions, cleanup and recovery boundaries, and the status of purchase terms.
Draft: this information is under review and is not an effective policy or set of terms.
Product and availability
DiskJoy is a disk analysis and cleanup application for Mac. Available features depend on the version you use. A demonstration screen or website illustration does not establish that a feature is available in your installed version. Check the version’s release information and the choices shown in the app before use.
Access and responsible use
Use DiskJoy only on files and locations you are authorized to access. macOS permissions determine which locations the app can inspect. An inaccessible location or an incomplete scan limits the results; do not interpret those results as a complete inventory of your Mac.
Review the files and locations selected for cleanup before confirming an operation. Maintain a separate backup of important data. Disk usage estimates and cleanup results are not a backup or a guarantee that a particular amount of space will become available immediately.
Cleanup and recovery
The regular cleanup flow moves selected items to the Trash. Moving an item to the Trash does not itself permanently erase it or necessarily free its occupied space. Review the Trash before emptying it. Empty Trash is a separate permanent deletion action with its own confirmation; do not assume you can recover items after completing it.
Files can change while an operation runs. Check the reported results and any skipped or changed items. A cancelled or interrupted operation may have completed some items already; cancellation does not automatically restore them.
Privacy and assistance
Read the Privacy notice for information about local application data, website requests and contacting support. Do not include confidential file contents, private filenames or full file paths in a support message unless they are needed and you choose to share them. See Support for troubleshooting guidance.
Purchases and subscriptions
This draft does not establish purchase, subscription or license terms. Final commercial terms must be approved and made available before purchases open. See the Refund policy for the applicable purchase policy when available.
